CPL T20 | Russell stars in Jamaica Tallawahs win over Trinbago Knight Riders

Captain Andre Russell slammed a brilliant  unbeaten 121 to lead the Jamaica Tallawahs to a four-wicket win over the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League on Friday night in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
 

Final scores: Trinbago Knight  Riders 223 for six (20 overs); Jamaica Tallawahs 225 for six in 19.3 overs.

  In his first match as captain, Russell came to the wicket with his team struggling at 41 for five and took charge immediately.

He faced just 49 balls and hit 13 massive sixes and six fours as the Tallawahs achieved victory with three balls to spare. He got strong support from  Kennar Lewis  (51) as the two featured in a 161-run stand for the sixth wicket.
   

Earlier, Russell also starred with the ball, bagging  a hat-trick  with the second, third and fourth balls of the 20th  over to restrict the Knight Riders who looked to be heading to 240.
