Opening hours extended at select health centres

The Ministry of Health has implemented extending opening hours for health centres in the Southeast Regional Health Authority to address overcrowding at major hospitals.

These health centres serve the parishes of Kingston & St Andrew, St Catherine, and St Thomas and will now be open to see patients up to 8:00 p.m on designated days.

The following health centres will observe the extended hours:

Kingston & St Andrew

* The Stony Hill Health Centre - Monday to Wednesday

* Olympic Gardens Health Centre -Mondays and Tuesdays

* Glen Vincent Health Centre - Monday to Friday

* Slipe Pen Road Comprehensive Health Centre - Monday to Friday

St Thomas

* Morant Bay Health Centre - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

St Catherine

St Jago Park Health Centre - Monday to Friday (with the exception of fourth Fridays)

Greater Portmore Health Centre - Monday to Friday

The health ministry says it recognises the current challenges and is working assiduously to ensure that members of the public, who have to use the health facilities, can do so in comfort and convenience.
