IAAF World Relays | Jamaica ease into mixed shuttle hurdles relay final

Jamaica got off to a good start at the 2019 IAAF World Relays, winning their mixed shuttle hurdles relay in a time of 55.47 seconds, at the Yokohama International Stadium on Saturday morning. 

The team of Amoi Brown, Andrew Riley, Megan Tapper and Ronald Levy, advanced as the second fastest team into the final behind the United States, which won their heat in 55.09 seconds.

Levy was confident of the team's chances of coming out on top in the final.

"We can win. If we do what we should do, we can win. It will be a tight race between us and the US and maybe France, but we have a high possibility of winning," said Levy. 

This was the first time that the event, which features two males and two female athletes per team, contesting a hurdles relay, was being contested at the IAAF World Relays. 

Also advancing to the final, which takes place at 7:55 a.m., are Japan and Australia.
