The Supreme Ventures Foundation announced the first winner of its Supreme Heroes Programme which highlighted the efforts of participants who were positively impacting their communities. After weeks of voting by the public for their community heroes, Jennifer Brown, the operator of Miss Jenny’s Corner Shop in Flankers, St James, has been named the winner of the competition. She is also the recipient of the People’s Choice Award. As the winner, she will be receiving another grant that will not only bolster her social enterprise activities but also empower her and her community. Brown was among four community heroes who were a part of the initiative. Director of the Supreme Ventures Foundation, Heather Goldson, says the organisation is proud of the programme and looks forward to continuing the initiative.
