The Little Theatre Movement's 21st Annual Pantomime at the Ward Theatre in January 1962 brought traditional seasonal cheer to young and old, rich and poor alike. Recognised for years as the great theatrical event of Jamaica, the Pantomime musicals won local and international acclaim. Banana Boy owed its popularity to the excellent choreography by UCWI Lecturer and Director Rex Nettleford; the tuneful numbers played by MAPLETOFT Poulle's orchestra; the lyrics, Orford St John and David Lindo; the brilliant lighting by George Carter; and the inimitable humour of Louise Bennett, Ranny Williams, Keith Bradley, and Myrtle Robinson.
