Russell, Knight second and third in Diamond League 400mh

Commonwealth Games champion Janieve Russell and Andrenette Knight finished second and third respectively in the women's 400 metres hurdles at the Diamond League meet in Lausanne, Switzerland today.

Russell clocked 53.92 seconds while Knight followed with 54.33. World championship silver medalist and European champion Femke Bol of the Netherlands won in a meet record of 52.95 seconds.

Former World and Olympic champion Dalilah Muhammad of the United States of America (USA) finished seventh in 56.03 seconds in her first race since the World Championships in July.

World Championships bronze medallist Rushell Clayton collided with a hurdle and failed to finish.
