Hit a brickwall with JPS customer service
THE EDITOR, Madam:
I live in a rural district in St Elizabeth with a child and an elderly person. We have been experiencing low voltage situation since Monday, June 12. At that time an electrician assessed things and informed us that JPS has to come and look into it.
We have called and reached out to the company via phone and on social media several times every day, at which point they’ve said they have escalated and reescalated the issue. No manager or supervisor is ever able to speak to us. We are unable to power our appliances including the refrigerator, iron for over one week now.
How are we to continue like this? Why has no response come up to this point? Why are we being treated with such scant regard? We are diligent customers and law-abiding citizens. This should not be the recompense for persons who are compliant.
The current company delivers pledges of support, pumps out lively advertisements and embellishes their media pages with flamboyant, engaging and even touching images, as if they provided equivalent service. The comment section is a mess, and so is their so-called service. They should spend less on advertisements and put more into a few trucks and a more robust response team. We are suffering over here. We need JPS to look into this matter urgently.
