Newly minted Magnum All-Star Sound Clash winner Echo One has already begun to reap the fruits of their labour, as they are set to compete at Reggae Sumfest’s Global Sound Clash tonight at the Pier One car park in Montego Bay.

The Echo One team is grateful and excited for this opportunity and are in preparation mode for Thursday’s clash.

“Patrons can expect to be entertained right throughout the clash. Persons who watched the Magnum All-Star clash saw that we brought a lot of surprises; you know our dress code, custom dubs and the way we presented our music. They can come out and expect a crazy mad vibe from Echo One. Sound system culture overall is always a great vibe and energy for us, so being a part of Reggae Sumfest’s Global Sound Clash stage is a tremendous feeling, so we just have to bring our A-game and come prepared for anything,” said DJ Fire Wayne from Echo One.

The event is powered by Magnum Tonic Wine and looks to deliver a nail-biting clash.

“We are excited to be the presenting partner for this year’s Global Sound Clash. Sound system culture in Jamaica is unmatched and so, we are happy to play our part in ensuring that it is given the recognition it truly deserves. I’m looking forward to seeing what the sounds are going to be bringing to the table. We know for sure the Jamaican sounds are going to dominate, so I can only hope that the international sounds will match this energy and come ready to fight for the title,” said Kamal Powell, regional marketing manager at Magnum Tonic Wine.

Jamaican sound systems Bass Odyssey, Code Red and the Magnum All-Star Soundclash winner, Echo One, will go up against Dynamq from South Sudan, and Jah Works out of Japan. The event is slated to get under way at 8 p.m., with DJ Tom Raevas and C Note Sound on the turntables, building the momentum before the clash begins.
