Nickisha Pryce clocked a brilliant 48.57 seconds in the 400 metres to set a new national record and world leading time in the event at the London Diamond League meet a short while ago.
The national champion shattered her own mark of 48.89 which she set earlier this year. She also went under the previous world lead of 48.75 by American Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.
Pryce won ahead of world number three Natalia Kaczmarek of Poland who also set a 48.90 national record. Lieke Klaver of the Netherlands was third in a personal best 49.58.
