17-y-o boy, man charged for stealing $800,000 worth of liquor and gaming box from establishment in Toll Gate
A 17-year-old boy is among two males charged by the Clarendon police over a robbery in Toll Gate that saw a gaming box and liquor valued at $800,000 being stolen.
The teen and 21-year-old Gregory Clarke, both of Mount Clair, Mocho, Clarendon, are charged with larceny and housebreaking.
Their court date is being finalised.
Reports from the Four Paths police are that on Tuesday, February 4, a woman securely locked her business establishment and went home.
The following day, she returned and found that there had been a breach at her establishment.
She entered through the back door, which had been left open by the culprits, and checks revealed that a Joker Poker gaming box, a black monitor, and liquor amounting to $800,000 had been stolen.
A report was immediately made to the police, and an intelligence-led operation resulted in the discovery of the items in a car operated by the man and the teen.
They were subsequently arrested and charged based on the complainant’s statement.
