Two St Andrew women suspected to be linked to a series of robberies were on Wednesday night intercepted and arrested by the police, and money seized.
The St Andrew Central police report that about 9:00 p.m., lawmen, acting on intelligence, intercepted a motor car on Barbican Road that was allegedly involved in a series of robberies in the parish.
The vehicle and the two female occupants were searched.
According to the police, $192,700 and US$175 were found in the women’s possession during the search.
The police say further checks were made at the homes of both women.
