The countries that have been able to reform their economies for success have all had one thing in common: bold leadership that motivated their people to accept radical changes to their economic policies, the outcomes of which could not have been guaranteed. They were all sufficiently bold to accept the likelihood of grave political consequences.

What a nice 'bakra' man Mr Cargill was, eh! He was always so sorry for poor, ignorant black people. He didn't want lots of backward people to be going up and down Jamaica foolishly thinking that they were equal to him, deceiving themselves that what they speak is a language just like his.

Regarding The Gleaner's editorial of Thursday, March 22, 2012, I see that your newspaper has fallen for the ruse of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) and its president, Joseph M.
