Jamaicans

Jamaicans are cool

Even Though we are from a warm climate

Our language is our greatness marketing tool

Tourist from overseas love to talk to us

To teach them a thing or two which is a must

Jamaicans are happy and bold

You can spot us all over the world with our Green, Black and Gold

Jamaicans are expressive

At times some may misunderstand us as aggressive

Deep in our hearts we are kind and loving

We are very creative in all areas especially in running

Jamaicans are all over the world

We are innovative, humorous and whatever we focus on we become very industrious

Jamaicans have their ups and down

But we are still the happiest in town!

Something is missing from lives of men

Something is missing from the lives of men,

Is it peace? Is it love? Or is it understanding?

I've heard a thousand blended notes,

Moving up on the morning clouds

It awakens the bird in songs of cheer

The melodies ringing in the air in Praises to God

Men in their knowledge forget that they have a Creator they should turn to

In songs of praise to refresh the morning air

The joys of living doesn't always seem to be here any more

Men in their hearts, hunger for riches

Open up the arms to the hearts of theirs,

But never seem to be satisfied

So the hours of the days and the night never seem to be enough

Fear and torment has added their portion to their reaping treasures

It is so wonderful, so marvellous to know

That when the mind is enlightened

And the burden of life is no more to bear

And the spring of joy is flowing everywhere.
