Greatest gift of giving – peace and power
Today, we see countless individuals and groups donating essentials to old age homes, orphanages, and facilities for the disabled. Providing food, clothing, education, water, and other necessities to those in need is widely considered the greatest act of kindness. But, is there more to charity than meeting physical needs?
ADDRESSING INNER NEEDS
Earning enough to help others is commendable, and fulfilling someone’s physical needs is an act of generosity. However, there is an overlooked dimension to charity: inner needs. While financial assistance is invaluable, it does not address the emptiness many people feel. Even those with material abundance often struggle with inner voids, searching for peace that remains elusive.
At some point, most of us have believed that acquiring money, possessions, or relationships will bring peace and joy. Yet, even after achieving these milestones, we feel unfulfilled. Charity has also been promoted as a path to peace, prompting many to give generously. However, despite their contributions, the sense of emptiness persists for many donors and receivers as well. The reason is simple: we cannot share what we do not possess. To fill others’ emptiness, we must first address our own. Ask yourself - ‘Do I feel empty or missing something in times of solitude?’
DEEPEST NEED
In today’s world, the deepest need is for peace and inner power. Many assume material wealth or romantic relationships are the ultimate sources of love and happiness. Yet, what we truly crave is peace – and the power to sustain our peace, even in challenging circumstances.
To meet this need, we must learn to reconnect with our true selves and the Supreme Source. By filling our hearts with peace and inner power, we can share these treasures with others. The beauty of this charity lies in its simplicity: the more peace we share, the more it grows within us. Remarkably, this form of giving does not require knowing or meeting the recipients. Simply, being in a peaceful state enables you to send waves of calmness to those in need.
BE THE DONOR
Would you like to be a donor of peace and power? If so, start now. This unique act of charity costs nothing yet provides the greatest gift to those who seek it. Connect with the Supreme, fill yourself with peace, and you can offer what the world needs most. Almost every mind is yearning for peace; be the one to fulfil that need. Start by nourishing your own soul, and then extend this gift to others.
Charity goes beyond material offerings. It touches the soul, spreading peace and power to create a world filled with contentment and harmony.
