Carol Robertson to oversee C&W Business government, enterprise clients
C&W Business has appointed Carol Robertson as director of sales, government, enterprise & IT solutions for Jamaica, who will oversee the company's "key service portfolio" of government and enterprise clients.
She formerly served as IT solutions sales specialist and will now "play a vital role in the design and implementation of leading IT solutions and managed services products across a variety of sectors," the company announced Thursday.
Robertson has 28 years of regional experience in the information, communications and technology - ICT - sector.
"Robertson is known for her extensive technical knowledge and a keen bias for driving innovation," said C&W Business.
Samuda & Johnson hires former interns
Samuda & Johnson, attorneys-at-law, has taken on three young lawyers, all of whom graduated from the University of the West Indies with honours.
The three Jahmar Clarke, Peter Marshall and Jordan Chin - were called to the Bar in December. They had previously interned at the New Kingston-based law firm over the summer.
Chin, who is also a licensed real estate agent and Norman Manley graduate, has been assigned to the firm's commercial department, "however his areas of practice range across a number of departments and include commercial, international trade and real estate," S&J said.
Clarke has joined S&J's litigation department, whose cases span aviation, industrial relations, maritime and mining. The former Jamaica College head boy studied law under scholarship - the Carlton Alexander Scholarship awarded to him in 2010.
Marshall is attached to the commercial, international trade and finance department. The Norman Manley Law School graduate is an 'Island Scholar', which was awarded to him by the government of St Vincent & the Grenadines for his performance in the CAPE high-school exams.
The three men were hired as associates.
