Just days after he released a new EP titled Lighthouse, a song from his Fly Rasta album, Ziggy Marley won big at the 2014 staging of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).

Fly Rasta copped the Best Album/CD award at the annual event held at the Coral Springs Centre for the Arts, in Florida last weekend. Though he was not the only Marley nominated for awards, he emerged the sole winner from the famous family. Ghanaian reggae artiste Shatta Wale edged out Daniel 'Bambaata' Marley for the Best New Entertainer award, while singer Romain Virgo copped the award for Most Promising Entertainer ahead of Jo Mersa Marley.

Ziggy Marley, however, was not the only big winner on the night, as Tarrus Riley and Chronixx copped the most wins for the evening. The singers both walked away with two awards each, Riley for Best Male Vocalist and Most Cultural/Educational Entertainer, while Chronixx won in Best Song for Smile Jamaica, and Best Music Video for his single, Here Comes Trouble. Sean Paul received the award for Best Caribbean Entertainer.

Other winners on the night included Shaggy, Tessanne Chin, Etana and Freddie McGregor.
