Davis serves gospel at NY Jesk Festival
Tomorrow, Minister Carlene Davis will headline the gospel section of the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival New York at Roy Wilkins Park, Queens.
This is the fifth year of New York's biggest Caribbean Food Festival.
Davis is known for her hit songs from her days as a secular artiste, with several number one and top-10 songs, and now as an established gospel minister. She recently released her latest album, Dripping Blood, through VP Records, Universal and Christian Book Stores. Carlene is expected to deliver songs such as Handful of Salt, Nobody Greater, Been Through Enough and King of Kings, among others.
Members of the audience who have more secular tastes will recall Davis' Going Down To Paradise, It Must Be Love, Stealing Love On The Side, Winnie Mandela and Dial My Number. Davis said, "I'm a new person in Christ and, having come this far, I know the Holy Spirit will lead me in all truth."
The title sponsor of the event is Grace Foods and it is produced by VP Records. Other artistes scheduled to appear include Romain Virgo, Sanchez, and Fab Five Band.
