October 25 funeral for Louie Rankin
It has been confirmed that the thanksgiving service for the life of actor and dancehall artiste Leonard Ford, better known as Louie Rankin and Teddy BrukShut, will be held on October 25 at the New Haven Funeral Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The obituary on the website www.newhavenfuneralcentre.com states: “On Monday, September 30, 2019, critically acclaimed actor and dancehall artist Leonard Ford, aka Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin, aka Teddy Bruk Shut, passed away in a sudden and tragic car accident in Shelburne, Ontario, Canada.
“Loving son, brother, and father, he was famously known for his role as Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin in Belly (1998) and Teddy Bruk Shut in Shottas (2002). Louie won a Grammy award in 1992 for his hit dancehall track Typewriter. He was an icon in the entertainment industry who paved the way for many young actors and artists in his native homeland of Jamaica and New York City, where he lived most of his adult life.

Louie Rankin, who hails from St Thomas, Jamaica, was living in Canada at the time of his passing at the end of September.
