Drinking caffeine could help to cure migraines

Caffeine acts as a vasoconstrictor - which is the narrowing of blood vessels from contractions of the large arteries and small arterioles' muscular wall.
And with this, the beverage helps to act against blood vessels from becoming bigger, which happens when people experience the bad headache.

Professor Amanda Ellison, of Durham University, is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "The caffeine in Coca-Cola acts as a vasoconstrictor to narrows blood vessels.
"This helps counteract the dilation of blood vessels that occurs during a migraine - a key trigger for pain."
