Don Wehby remembered for transformative role in Champs and Youth Sports

Tributes continue to pour in for Don Wehby, whose legacy extends far beyond boardrooms and public policy into the heart of Jamaica’s sporting culture. Widely praised for his vision, integrity, and patriotism, Wehby was especially revered for his instrumental role in elevating the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Championships (Champs) to global prominence. Culture and Sports Minister Olivia Grange noted that he was “a strong advocate for youth development through sports,” while ISSA hailed their partnership with him as “truly special.” His passion, leadership, and commitment to Jamaica’s future will long be remembered.
