Blues Busters land major U. S. recording deal

Blurb: Fresh off a successful American tour, the Blues Busters returned home with big news: a four-year recording contract with Capitol Records. The duo, Philip James and Lloyd Campbell, recorded two of their hit songs, Behold and Tell Me Why, while in the States, marking a major step in their international career. With upcoming theatre and nightclub engagements in New York, the pair is poised to take Jamaican music even further onto the global stage.

The Blues Busters return

Jamaica's popular singing team, Philip James and Lloyd Campbell, who thrilled fans under the stage name of the Blues Busters, returned to Jamaica yesterday by B. W. I. A. flight after a successful tour in the United States.
The singing duo, who left the island on August 16 last, made appearances at nightclubs in New Orleans, Mississippi, and Hollywood while abroad. They also signed a four-year contract with Capitol Records and cut discs of two of their local hits, Behold and Tell Me Why, in the States.
They are to return to the USA shortly to fulfil theatre and night engagements in New York and to have recording sessions.
A welcome show featuring local recording artistes will be staged at the Palace Theatre tomorrow in honour of their return.
