The new craze - eyebrow extensions
Every woman knows the hassle of getting her brows just perfect - from the plucking to waxing and turning into Picasso to get those perfect shape.
But all that has changed with eyebrow extensions.
Unlike hair and lash extensions, it is not about adding length to the actual hair, but gluing individual strands to one's eyebrow. Make-up artist Jahrene Wilson was tired of searching for her artistic side in the mornings, trying to sketch the perfect brows. When her cousin Nashay Wilson visited from United Kingdom and offered to train her in eyebrow extension, she did not hesitate.
The process was easy for her to grasp, and she had added to her skills to keep her customers happy.
To demonstrate the process, Wilson invited us to watch at she did one of her clients - Tashtae Warren.
(1) First, she removed excess hair from the eyebrows (the ones that will not be in sequence with the shape that the customer would like).
(2) The area is then cleaned.
(3) The eyebrow hairs come in eight strips filled with individual strands at different lengths. Wilson then places individual strands following the natural shape of the brows.
The one-and-a-half to two-hour process is painless and relatively safe. The time is dependent on the shape and amount of extensions needed.
The extensions can last for approximately two to four weeks, and after the process is completed, the face should not be washed for 48 hours.
The hairs act like natural hair grown from your root. As the process was completed, it was impossible for us to tell the difference. The strands come in different colours so that you can find your perfect match.
