Sip, fête, repeat: Hennessy makes Very Special drop
Hennessy has reintroduced their limited edition carnival Very Special bottle for the Carnival in Jamaica season.
Britni Riley, category manager, Select Brands Moët-Hennessy, told Food during their carnival launch and bottle unveiling event held on Tuesday, at 100 in St Andrew, that Hennessy loves to be a part of cultural diversity, especially in the Jamaican market, and it is on this premise that the Hennessy Very Special carnival bottle was being reintroduced to the market.
“For Carnival in Jamaica, we know Hennessy has played a key part over the years for the different activations, executions [and] sponsorships, and this year will be no different,” Riley said, announcing special gifts, including a Hennessy-branded cooler, and a digital competition for the period.
Hennessy will also be the title sponsor of the popular Big Wall carnival party event on road march day, the viewing deck for which, returns this year. That will open at 11 a.m. at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew for patrons to watch revellers jumping on the road.

Hennessy Carnival Coco
INGREDIENTS
1 oz Hennessy VS
0.5 oz lime juice
0.5 oz cane simple syrup
4 oz coconut water
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, shake with ice and strain into a Collins glass with ice. Garnish with a hibiscus flower.
Hennessy Carnival Delight
INGREDIENTS
1 oz Hennessy VS
0.5 oz lime juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
4 oz hibiscus tea
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, shake with ice and strain into a Collins glass with ice. Garnish with a hibiscus flower.
Hennessy Carnival Vibe Check
INGREDIENTS
1 oz Hennessy
1.5 oz pineapple juice
4 oz Ting/grapefruit soda
DIRECTIONS
Build in a Collins glass with ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge or leaves.
