Corporal Kimaryo Pinnock celebrates with his wife, Ava, after being selected the 2016-2017, LASCO-Jamaica Constabulary Force Police Officer of the Year, during an awards ceremony held yesterday at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston. Addressing the audience at the awards ceremony, Pinnock encouraged his colleagues to convert obstacles into stepping stones and charged them to become agents of positive change and prospects of hope.“We have to endeavour to effect positive change in our society, as educated and intelligent persons, developing self, but not neglecting national development and your civic responsibilities. We have to move away from the destructive tendencies of tearing others down and start to propel the future of everyone in any way that we can. We have to strive for a higher level of coexistence, respecting each others’ political inclination, religious ideology, and other freedoms afforded by the constitution of this land,” Pinnock said.
