Matalon’s KLE takes full stake in Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records

 

KLE Group has assumed full ownership of the local franchises of Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records, the popular casual-dining restaurant.

The most recent acquisition is of the Montego Bay franchise, which was owned by hotelier and businessman Christopher Issa.

Gary Matalon, CEO, KLE Group said he hopes to maximise the synergies between the Montego Bay restaurant and the Kingston operation.

“When we approached Chris with our plan and made him an offer, he gladly accepted, as it is a win-win for all of us. This acquisition will improve our economies of scale, increase our earnings, assets and profitability”.

The terms of the buyout were not disclosed.

 

16-y-o left at KPH, relatives sought

 

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFDA) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the relatives of sixteen-year-old, Jonathan Black, who was left at the Kingston Public Hospital by his guardian, on January 3, 2020.

Jonathan is 5ft, five inches tall and is of dark complexion. He is from the Hopewell community in St. Mary, and is currently in the care of the CPFSA.
