St Catherine, Cross Road tax offices to re-open Monday

Published:Thursday | April 30, 2020 | 12:00 AM
Tax Offices and the Stamp Office are open to the public from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says its St Catherine and Cross Roads offices will reopen on Monday.

It follows confirmation that the 24-hour St Catherine curfew will end tomorrow.

TAJ says the following offices will resume operations on Monday after the required cleaning, delivery of supplies and other necessary activities:

*Spanish Town
*Portmore
*Linstead
*Old Harbour
*Cross Roads

However, the TAJ said it will continue the suspension of in-branch collections of property tax and certificate of fitness fees at its revenue centres in Kingston and St Andrew until next Wednesday, May 6.

Persons are instead urged to use the online services at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.

TAJ says this will significantly ease overcrowding at Tax Offices during the COVID-19 crisis.

Tax Offices and the Stamp Office are open to the public from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
