One death, 98 new COVID cases

At a press conference a short while ago, Tufton said 10 of the cases are from backlog samples and 88 are recent.

Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton has reported that a 74-year-old man tested positive for COVID-19 has died pushing the tally to 15 deaths.

Meanwhile, there have been 98 new COVID cases.

This is the highest number of new cases in one day.

At a press conference a short while ago, Tufton said 10 of the cases are from backlog samples and 88 are recent.

Overall, the case count is now 1,290 with 416 active cases.

Tufton said the Cabinet will meet tomorrow to consider a response to the development.
