A company spokesperson said the Acropolis Gaming Lounge will re-open on Sunday, August 23.

The Acropolis Gaming Lounge in St Andrew will be closed today to facilitate deep cleaning and sanitisation after a staff member yesterday tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement Friday night, the operator, Supreme Ventures Limited, said the employee had been in quarantine since August 9.

The company also said the health ministry has been contacted and the authorities are now conducting contact tracing with all employees who may have been exposed.

In the meantime, the company has activated its COVID-19 response protocols.

“We are committed to following the government-issued protocols to protect our staff and our customers and we have not let up at any time since our re-opening," said a company spokesperson in a statement.

The spokesperson said the mandatory wearing of masks, the maintenance of social distancing, and frequent sanitising of the space will continue.

The Acropolis Gaming Lounge will re-open on Sunday, August 23.
