Body of missing villa manager found in car
The body of 65-year-old villa manager Clyde Taylor was discovered in the trunk of his 2013 Nissan Note motor car in Top Hill, near Runaway Bay, St Ann, on Thursday.
The body had several chop wounds to the upper body, including the head.
One man, considered a prime suspect who was picked up prior to the discovery of the body, remains in custody and will face interrogation, said Senior Superintedent Dwight Powell.
“We’re in the process of looking for another two persons of interest who we believe will be able to assist us with the investigation,” Powell, head of the St Ann Police Division, told The Gleaner.
The decomposed body was removed to the morgue while the car was brought to the station for safekeeping pending further investigation.
Taylor, who managed Sunflower Villas in Runaway Bay, was home around 9 o’clock Saturday night and was last seen in Ocho Rios. When efforts to contact him later that night were unsuccessful, a missing person report was made to the police.
Efforts to get in touch with Vana Taylor, the victim’s sister and president of the St Ann Chamber of Commerce and chairperson of the JHTA Ocho Rios Runaway Bay Chapter, were unsuccessful.
