More and more I get the feeling that initiatives to reduce crime will never be taken seriously in Jamaica. – @sherylg2k

I expected it and same to be with this police body cameras which was why I had long ago said it was waste of resources. Even business establishments put them up and forget maintenance and so they are just Humpty Dumpty on a wall. – @WinstonMclean1

Great advert for the criminals, ‘ignore the cameras most are not working, go create mayhem’. Had the minister quietly engaged the maintenance company few would know of the deficiency. The psychology of the camera peering at you is lost as a deterrent. – @h_asq

We have a problem here and I believe it is in the planning stage of these projects. They love the capital expenditure but rarely if ever seem to lay out proper maintenance and replacement plans. – @Bertitude
