We must do better with public healthcare

THE EDITOR, Madam:​

As a nation, we cannot afford ‘free health care’ as the constructs ensure ‘no health care’.

Whether it is popular or not we need to revisit this; having people contribute according to their means, thus freeing up resources to address critical requirements as was pointed out in Dr Rattray’s subject article.

Where is the courage?

While it certainly will not cure all the maladies, it will certainly move us in a positive direction.
