THE EDITOR, Madam:

I just can’t contain myself with the news that MGM Muthu Hotels is coming to Jamaica with the official opening of Grand Muthu Club Caribbean in Runaway Bay on August 1. The Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett recently announced the establishment of the region’s first-ever Tourism Innovation Township, and the construction of the tallest hotel in the Caribbean, a 33-storey Moon Palace tower, to be built in Rose Hall, St James. A union from Unico, Hard Rock, Iberostar and Moon Palace-mega resorts which will become the largest concentration of hotel rooms in any single space with over 5,000 rooms within walking distance of each other.

In keeping abreast of the likes of other preferred Caribbean destinations like Barbados and the Dominica republic, I can now see that Jamaica is now a notch ahead against its rivals to attract the elite in tourist guests in this ever-changing economic environment.
