The Reggae Boyz kit should be reconsidered

THE EDITOR, Madam:

As a Jamaican, I'm a bit perturbed by what the Jamaica Football Federation has accepted for our footballers to wear. The national colours of Jamaica, which symbolise our rich history and development, are indeed black, green, and gold.

Red is not one of our national colours. I wear my national colours with a sense of pride every day (yes, every day) because they are unparalleled. Having a team that represents Jamaica with any other colours, in my mind, is a misrepresentation of our island home, Jamaica. I think this kit should be reconsidered and revised to reflect our true colours.
