Charis Women’s Wellness and Maternity Care Centre launched on Monday with a special thanksgiving ceremony as members of the medical community, and close friends and family of Dr Sara Lawrence Lewis turned out to support the birth of the consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist’s passion project. A group prayer and blessing of the establishment and specially invited guests, led by Anglican Church canon, Georgia Jervis, opened the evening. The event also included a tour of the top-tier facility that its team promises will offer full-service care and solutions for the wellness and health of Jamaican women. Here are the highlights.
