Mother-daughter workdays are becoming regularly scheduled for SAINT International’s Martiniquan fashion model Aurelie Giraud and her seven-year-old daughter, Lou.

The family photo shoot experience is now on its third shutter click, as Giraud is a repeat face for English apparel retailer Boden, alongside her daughter.

Both sit for just-released merchandise edits for the fall season that span the gamut from faux fur scarves and kilts, to cardigans and pyjamas, in the drop-bar online section titled ‘Family Matching’.

The beautiful duo was photographed for the Boden shoot in September, jetting into London from their home base in Paris for the assignment.

“We shot together twice before. The first time was for ELLE France magazine for a Mother’s Day editorial in April 2022, and the second time was for a Boden campaign in 2023 in London,” Giraud detailed to The Sunday Gleaner.

Was the third time being in front of the camera with her cutie pie as charming?

“We had a lovely day with the Boden team, as they were really excited to see Lou, as I’m always talking about her. It was lovely to get to shoot with her again,” raved the Caribbean-raised SAINT beauty, who has cultivated a years-long working relationship across the channel with the fast fashion retailer.

Assessing her little one’s knack for playing it cool and easy for the lens, Giraud told The Gleaner: “Lou likes to shoot but not too much. When it takes too long, she loses patience, as I guess most kids do.”

As for the possibility of her young one someday expressing eagerness to follow in her career path, the model noted, “For the moment, I don’t think she’s really that much into modelling. I’ll see how it grows on her, but I would definitely support her decision, whether or not she wanted to be a model.”

In the meantime, the pair, who relocated from Martinique to France three years ago, have comfortably settled into European life. “We are doing activities like judo, dance, English lessons and guitar,” the model said. “We also like to go for walks and play in the park, and always find new things to do in Paris, as there is always so much going on,” the mother disclosed, adding that she faithfully watches the children’s shows Monster High and Gabby’s Dollhouse with Lou.

“We are planning to visit my friends in Brussels for Christmas,” she revealed of their upcoming holiday travel plans.

Staring down a decade employed in the industry space, fashion obviously factors in this Martiniquan’s orbit, with recently completed assignments for Marks and Spencer and Kath Kidston due soon.

Now out is her e-commerce work for the Swedish knitwear and cashmere brand Soft Goat, which she shot in Stockholm in March.

Giraud’s growing list of high-flying achievements includes co-starring in global advertising make-up campaigns for YSL Beauty, fronting lookbooks for Balenciaga, strutting the runway for Dolce & Gabbana and Jil Sander, and appearing between the pages of Vogue and iD magazines.

“After all these years, I still love doing photo shoots and travelling. I will keep being a model as long [as] I got [the] passion and love for my job,” said Giraud, who was referred through a friend to SAINT CEO Deiwght Peters back in 2015.
