Kingston City Run postponed because of Riverton smoke
The organizers of the much anticipated Kingston City Run billed for tomorrow have announced that the event has been postponed indefinitely.
The organizers say under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and Kingston City Runs own health team they decided to suspend the event’s half marathon, 10K and 5K races.
Christopher Jarrett co-chair of the event said that the committee deliberated seriously before taking the difficult decision.
“We have taken the difficult decision after serious deliberations. While we know everyone was excited to participate in this year’s event, the health and safety of all our participants is paramount”, explained Jarrett.
The organizers have also thanked their sponsors and participants for their continued support.
