St Thomas wanted man killed in police shootout

A man who was being sought by the St Thomas police was killed yesterday in an alleged shoot-out with members of the security forces.
The dead man has been identified as Ricky Ricketts.
It is alleged that Ricketts engaged the police in a gun battle when they attempted to apprehend him in York in the parish.
A revolver was reportedly recovered from the deceased.
It is understood that Ricketts was among ten men wanted for questioning regarding several crimes under investigation in St Thomas.
