The government has put the preliminary estimate of the cost to host United States president Barack Obama in April at more than $270 million.
Minister with responsibility for information, Sandrea Falconer, gave the breakdown at this morning’s post-Cabinet press briefing.
She said $207,784,650 was spent on road rehabilitation.
She says an additional $66,551,579 was spent on the various events associated with the visit.
That cost includes expenses associated with providing security, media coverage and accommodation.
President Obama visited from April 8-9.
