Orkin is on a winning streak
Orkin Jamaica has earned its reputation as the pest-control experts for using the latest technology to conduct termite inspection and pest-control service needs for its customers.
Since the Guardsman Group, a security services firm and technology provider, acquired a pest-control franchise in 2010 under an exclusive distribution deal with the American company, it has been winning a number of awards.
Orkin Jamaica won Best Growth and Top Franchise awards for the Latin America and Caribbean Region at the recently concluded annual regional Latin America and Caribbean Summit held at RIU Montego Bay.
Jamaica was selected as the host country this year and their achievement is a testament to their performance since they started operating approximately five years ago.
In terms of accelerating sales growth for the business Neil Robinson, chief financial officer of the Guardsman's Group, told The Gleaner that "Orkin Jamaica currently provides services to Jamaica. However, the Guardsman Group acquired the franchise for Orkin in Puerto Rico; St Thomas, United States Virgin Islands; and St Lucia".
Robinson added: "The group continues to search for new opportunities of acquiring additional Orkin franchises throughout the Caribbean, which we hope to secure before the end of this year."
Orkin Jamaica offers pest-control and termite services to commercial and residential clients islandwide.
Those in attendance were Orkin's Latin America, South America, Central America and Mexico and Caribbean franchise owners and representatives, as well as a few of the company's largest suppliers. The topics covered included an overview of Orkin Inc's parent company, Rollins Inc's financial performance, which had another stellar year of growth.
