JMMB Invests Millions in Scholarships
Fourteen students, drawn from several local tertiary institutions, were awarded $3.9 million in scholarships by the Joan Duncan Foundation (JDF) for the 2015-16 academic year. The award covers the cost of tuition, books, and other school-related expenses.
Among the scholarship recipients are Sheryl Reid, Garth Pryce, Loya Haughton, Kristeena Monteith, Justin Anderson, Shevar Ellis, Kim-Anne Miller, Stacey-Ann Bailey, Tashana Samuels, Carlene Hibbert, Shauna-Kaye Buckle, Kedon Williams, Danilla Thompson, and Joie-Ann Mills.
The recipients are selected based on their high academic standard and involvement in their schools and/or communities.
The JDF also provided an additional $1.1 million in scholarships to students attending primary, secondary, and special-needs institutions, for the new academic year.
