We are heartbroken - UWI halls grieve students' death
The University of the West Indies' Chancellor Hall says it is heartbroken by the death of 23-year-old O'Shane Reid, who was a resident on the all-male hall.
A statement this morning said Reid selflessly served Chancellor Hall and represented it on the Guild of Students for two years.
It is also crediting the deceased student for rebranding the image of the guild.
Reid was travelling in a car with 22-year-old Shanice Simmonds in Drax Hall, St Ann last night, when the car collided with a Coaster bus.

Meanwhile, Rex Nettleford Hall, on which Simmonds was a resident, expressed in a Twitter post that they were at a loss for words.
We have lost a proud Rexan, Shanice 'PinUp' Simmonds. Words cant explain how we feel right now but God… https://t.co/We1929qRzH
