Commentator calls Crawford's 'trick' a childish prank
Public commentator Martin Henry believes parliamentarian Damion Crawford was engaging in a childish prank after admitting that he was tricking the public when he declared earlier this year that he would not seek re-election.
Crawford, who is the MP for East Rural St Andrew, told supporters at a constituency meeting over the weekend that he lied about not running again because he wanted to get rid of detractors.
However, the public commentator says while the admission was strange, it shows that Crawford is prepared to become a career politician.
Henry says the MP is an intelligent person who appears to take the interest of his constituents and Jamaica seriously.
However, he is warning Crawford not to engage further in such behaviour
