Imani disappointed, but will maximise PNP executive member position

Former People's National Party (PNP) senator Imani Duncan-Price says she is disappointed that she was not named among the eight opposition senators recently appointed by the PNP.

She says she respects the decision made by Opposition leader Portia Simpson Miller.

However, Duncan-Price says she is disappointed that she will not continue the work she started as a member of the Senate.

When the opposition senators were announced this week, many comrades on social media railed at the PNP president for 'excluding' Duncan-Price, Damion Crawford and Raymond Pryce.

However, Duncan-Price says she will use her position as an executive member of the PNP to help in the rebuilding process being undertaken by the party and she hopes to be joined by Crawford and Pryce.

Duncan-Price replaced Crawford as the PNP’s standard bearer in St Andrew East Rural, but lost out to the Jamaica Labour Party’s Juliet Holness.
