Constant Spring Road fully reopened
The National Works Agency (NWA) has confirmed that the section of Constant Spring Road in the vicinity of the Market Place commercial complex has been fully reopened to vehicular traffic since early this morning.
Speaking with The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre, NWA Communication Manager, Stephen Shaw said the National Water Commission has successfully completed the installation of the main sewer line and other works which have now made it possible for the reopening of both the north and southbound carriage ways.
He says the final works are to be completed on the weekend.
Last week people travelling the Corporate Area experienced a traffic nightmare as all five lanes along the Constant Spring Road near Market Place were closed after a sewer main underneath the road surface collapsed.
