The Child Development Agency (CDA) is to open the Summerfield Girls’ Home in Clarendon on Tuesday.
The facility sits on just over two hectares of land in the district of Rose Hill in Summerfield.
The home started operation in April 1976 as a home for boys, but closed in 2014.
The CDA says the home was renovated at a close of $50 million and it has now been renamed as the Summerfield Girls’ Home and is home to 31 girls.
