Charges pending against men in St Thomas robbery, police shoot-out

The St Thomas police say charges are pending against three men who allegedly robbed a bar and engaged the police in a shoot-out.

The three were held on Wednesday in Eleven Miles in the parish.

The police say they held up and robbed patrons of money and cellular phones.

They say a patron ran from the scene of the alleged robbery and a nearby police team that was on patrol came to the help of the others.

A shoot-out reportedly ensued and the gunmen later ran.

They were subsequently accosted by the police.

The police say a firearm was seized.
