Petrojam facilitates work experience for students

More than 200 students have benefited from Petrojam Limited's Annual 12-week Summer Employment Programme, which ended last week Friday.

The programme which started on June 5 provided secondary and tertiary level students, ages 16 to 25 years, the opportunity to gain solid work experiences in a number of disciplines including engineering, safety, logistics, marketing, accounting, legal services and human resources.

Petrojam's Manager, Human Resource Development & Administration, Yolande Ramharrack noted that Petrojam's contribution to continuous learning for more than 24 of its 35 years' history, has been significant

"This is a demonstration of the company's commitment to ensure the sustainability of a well-trained, skilled workforce nationally, through exposure to various areas of work at the Petrojam Refinery," said Ramharrack.
