Schools to close for by-election

Several schools will be closed tomorrow for the by-elections in St Andrew North West and in the Norman Gardens division in East Kingston.

The institutions will be used as polling stations.

In St Andrew North West the schools that will be closed are: Meadowbrook High School and Meadowbrook Preparatory; Salvation Army School for the Blind and the Visually Impaired; Little Angels Basic, Morris Knibb Preparatory, Gordon’s Memorial Preparatory, and Pembroke Hall High.

Schools to be affected in the Norman Gardens division are: Dunoon Technical High, Norman Gardens Primary and Junior High, the Tutorial College, Windward Road Primary and Junior High, Leila Tomlinson Basic, Adastra Gardens Basic, Rennock Lodge All-Age, and Rollington Town Primary.                                                               

The education ministry has urged administrators of the affected schools to ensure that suitable arrangements are made to make up for the day of lost contact.
