Phenomenal woman, Jocelyn Neil
Jocelyn Neil is the perfect example of a woman not having to be a struggling single mother to be considered strong, deserving, and, undoubtedly, phenomenal.
With the continued celebrations of women internationally, daughter of the said honourable woman Jo-Ann Neil wanted to highlight her mother, whom she admits is her role model, one who inspires her daily.
Mother of two young adults and a dedicated wife of nearly three decades to a pastor - Reverend Paul Neil - Jocelyn is a trophy woman as described by the popular Proverbs 31 scripture, which outlines the characteristics of a virtuous woman.
Of things most inspiring, the proud daughter told Family & Religion that her mother's routine is selflessly set each and every single day.
According to her: "She ensures that the needs of her family are met before hers because she just wants to ensure we all are fine. She believes that is her role in this life. She does what she does without murmuring every day with much passion and love."
Affectionately called Sister Joy by those to whom she has shown much compassion and familial warmth despite no biological ties, this woman of God favour commitment and dedication to her family, according to her daughter is highly admirable.
"She is extremely phenomenal because her life has been nothing short of service and commitment to her family and the people of Bull Savannah, St Elizabeth, by extension. She has selflessly spent 32 years of sweat and hard labour as a missionary in the community, spreading the gospel and ensuring that the Word of God reaches the ears of many. Her work in the church community (Seaview Baptist Church) can be evidenced if one takes a visit to the community," Neil said as she revealed her hopes of inheriting half of her mother's strength, patience and selflessness as a wife and mother when her time comes.
