NWC regulating water in sections of Portland due to shortage
The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that it is to regulate water supplied to sections of Portland because of a significant fall in inflows to its Grants Level system in the parish.
The NWC says the water supply schedule is to alleviate service disruptions to a number of areas served by the facility.
The schedule will begin tonight, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 and the NWC says it will involve the building of storage tank levels and water supply regulation to ensure supply delivery to all areas inclusive of the elevated communities such as Red Hassell Road, John Town, Boundbrook and its environs.
The schedule and dates are as follows:
* Wednesday, April 18 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018.
Water will be supplied to: All areas of Port Antonio, except for Boundbrook and its environs

The NWC says it customers will be provided with an update following an assessment of the supply schedule.
Meanwhile, the agency says its Turtle Crawle Facility is also affected by reduced inflows.
The NWC says a water trucking schedule is being finalised in an effort to supply water to the affected areas.
The NWC says it regrets any inconvenience caused and is assuring customers that every effort is being made to have regular water service restored.
